We made it back to one of our favorite vacations spots with friends, Elsinore cabin in Door County Wisconsin. Our dear friend Heather arranged the trip and then was unable to make it, which gave us the chance to invite our friends Natalie and Brandt, and their girls Bella and Eva. We got to meet up with Jonathan, Maria, and Griffin from Chicago. Door County was beautiful with fall leaves everywhere, but the weather was cold. That didn't stop us from enjoying the Whitefish Dunes State Park. This year we even ventured into Egg Harbor for Octoberfest. One of the highlights was watching the kids play "Wheres Waldo."

boating
We went out for an afternoon boat ride. Miles was a little scared of the boat, especially when the water was wavy. We took a ride down the Mississippi from South Minneapolis to Harriet Island. Our neighbors Cynthia and Ingrid are the best. We had boat snacks and enjoyed a cruise on the river. Can't wait to do it again!

lil baker
Its a sunny morning breakfast at the Novak house. Dad is cooking bacon and eggs and mom is cooking up some pancakes. Miles wanted to help so we threw some flour in a bowl and gave his some spoons and cups so he could help.

wedding
We had a wonderful time celebrating with family at Chad's sister's wedding. His sister Chris was a beautiful bride and Miles was totally enamored with her. He kept wanting to get close to see her and wanted to dance by her. It was a lot of fun to spend the day with family and of course DANCE. Nonna brought Miles toy trucks and they kept him busy through the ceremony and the reception. Nonna knows how to win a little boy's heart!
haircut
Miles gets yet another home haircut from mom. This time we sat in the highchair with cookies. I am sure he ate a little hair but at least he sat still. And he sure does look like a big boy with that new haircut.
breakfast ham
Miles turned into a real ham at breakfast today. Grandma and Grandpa took us out to eat and Miles used the opportunity to put on a show. We all loved it though, and he could truly have no bigger fans than Mom and Dad, and Grandma and Grandpa.
bike ride
Grandpa Clay and Grandma Lori came for a visit and we decided to take a bike ride. We took advantage of the city bike rental system. We checked out two bikes for Grandma and Grandpa and biked to a restaurant with a check in spot. Had a great lunch then biked down River Road to Minnehaha Falls and took a break in the park before biking home. It was so much fun, although Grandpa Clay picked an unlucky bike, with some broken gears, we still fun and made great memories.
