seeds

Happy Mother's Day Nonna!  As tradition goes, Nonna got seeds for her garden on Mother's Day.  Miles helped her open them, inspected them, and gave them a few shakes for good measure.

Easter

We spent Easter with the Pedersons again this year.  Miles ate his first peep!  He was a busy guy today.  Running everywhere, saying hi to lots of people, and investigating many things around the house.  Cabinet doors, the front door, and the stairs were of particular interest and we caught some cute photos of him checking things out today.

bumps and bruises (march)

Miles has been walking for just a couple of months now.  But I swear he is already trying to run.  He gets to walking so fast, I just cringe.  Its near miss after near miss, and then of course there are the hits.  Oh boy, does he hit his head.  Bumps and bruises left and right.  A lot to get used to for new parents.  We can't always keep him safe, and you have to let them learn their limits.  Miles is a confident little guy and perhaps a bit of a risk taker.  But as you can see, the bumps and bruises don't slow him down.  I'm not even sure they phase him at all.  He sure is thrilled to be able to cruise in and out of every room in the house, proud of where his strong legs can take him.

down on the farm (march)

There was a lot more snow up North than there was here in Minneapolis.  It was beautiful when Miles and I went to visit.  Miles loved the horses and the cow, and puppies and the kitties.  He said neigh neigh to the horses, and moo to the cow.  Grandpa showed him all around the barn and even took him up in the hay loft to toss some bales.  The weather was actually overcast and snowy and these pictures just amaze me.  They are beautiful.  We are so lucky that  we have such an awesome place to bring Miles to spend time in the country on the farm.

couch tricks (feb)

In the evenings, just before bed, Miles like to climb on the couch, slip behind the cushions and get silly.  There is usually a lot of peek a boo, sometimes sock throwing or burying with pillows, but always lots of laughing.  It may be one of his favorite things too do.  Usually its a sign that it is bed time, because the late night crazies start coming on and it can turn into tears pretty quickly.

rockin' jammies (feb)

Grandma Clay and Grandma Lori came to town to do a little babysitting.  Complete with a trip to the MOA for new jammies, shoes, and jeans.  They are hard and work doing what Grandparents do best.  So we had to post a shot of him in his new jammies.  He loves them, especially the tiger strip pants!
