May Day Parade
One of the best events in our neighborhood is the May Day Parade. Which is a walking puppet parade in Powderhorn Park. We brought Miles to it last year when he was 5 months old and it was freezing out. He had to wear his winter snow suit. This year it was HOT! This year Miles also seemed to be a bit more captivated by the colorful and lifelike puppets.
Fishing opener
We headed up to lake country to spend fishing opener with our family. Mike took off in the motor home with Grandpa Clay to spend the weekend with the Nagel men fishing at Uncle Lee's cabin on Lake Lida. Miles and I took the opportunity to spend the weekend at the farm hanging out with Grandma Lori and the Nagel cousins. Abby, Jake, and Cade enjoyed showing Miles all the ways of the farm in the warm spring weather. We also enjoyed checking out uncle Lee's cabin and having a little breakfast with the guys after their very successful fishing opener.

buddies
Gotta love when these two get together. They move pretty fast but every now and then they take a second to really look at each other and smile and giggle. Its joyful to watch their friendship grow.

watermelon
Nothing goes better with summer than watermelon. Miles has tried it a few times but this was his first experience eating a slice right off the rind. He loved it. It was a little tricky figuring out which parts of the watermelon taste good and which parts not so much.
story time
Miles loves books. He loves to look at them on his own, but he especially loves when we read him books. He loves his blankie and he loves his paci, but he only gets it during night time and nap time. Here is a pre nap story time with Mom. All snuggled up and learning about opposites. The truth is I love story time, too! Its one of my favorite things to do with Miles.
