reuinited

Today was a challenging day.  It was my first day back at school, and Miles first day at daycare, which I have decided to call a baby party.  Amy gave me the same tip her husband gave her, babies need to have their own life too.  So, I need to remember that Miles is just heading out on his own adventure everyday.  He is at a fabulous baby party with toys, drinks, and naps.  But really, it mostly made me sad that we wouldn't get to snuggle the day away anymore.  It was nice to see the kids at school, they greeted me with huge smiles and lots of hugs.  But the best part of the day was when I got to go and pick up my baby.  He greeted me with the best smile and lots of hugs, too.  Here is a photo of us back home after our long day apart.

two months

Miles is already two months old.  We are seeing more and more of his personality.  He is pretty good at letting us know what he likes and doesn't like.  Usually he doesn't like tummy time, but here he seems to be enjoying it.

new crib

I assumed the bassinet would last us at least 4 or 5 months.  We didn't even make it 2 months.  Miles outgrew the bassinet very quickly.  Sure he still fits inside, but there is only an inch or two to spare from head to toe, and his arms hit the side when he tries to sleep.

So now we have moved on to a crib.  Its adorable, and bright green.  It will look great with his big blue dresser once he gets his own room.  So here is to many restful nights in your new crib, Miles!

bear boy

Gotta love dressing your baby up in ridiculous outfits.  But, come on, they are just so cute!  No one can resist it.  So here you have it...Bear Boy!  Not pictured are the matching brown pants with little bear heads on the footsies.  And yes, now i say things like footsies instead of feet.

Awe, I love my bear boy :)

new friends

Mike and I decided to see a midwife for our prenatal care.  Through our midwife we were able to get our prenatal care in a group setting.  It was a wonderful experience.  The best part was getting together and swapping baby stories.  Miles got to meet the other babies and we got to share our experiences with others.

smile

Miles started smiling at 6 weeks old.  How fun!  He locks eyes and does the sweetest little grin.
